Jantzen lightweight pullover ski parka made of tight weave windproof cotton poplin. Simple functional design ready for plowing spring corn with button front opening, tunnel drawstring at waist, pleats at cuffs, and slit plackets at sides. I think this is likely from the late 40s because of the button front and simple design. From the time period when the ski industry was born, driven by the returning mountain troopers ski trained in Colorado. Size medium per the tag, measuring 23-1/2 inches across armpits, 19-3/4 inches shoulder seam to seam, 24-1/2 inches from shoulder seam to cuff and 31 inches from top of collar to hem. Condition is very good with light wear on collar as is common on vintage poplin jackets and the two small tears to the rear of the right armpit (1-1/4 and 3/4 inches, see pic). One button on front is replacement looks like from a khaki military shirt. The cuff buttons are flat green vintage that match and may be replacements as well.
